2024 Project – Construction of the community poultry farm
In 2024, thanks to the generosity and support of our donors, Massékopé – Village of Hope was able to carry out an essential project for the village:
the construction of a sustainable community poultry farm at the heart of Massékopé.
This project was conceived as a concrete and long‑term response to several fundamental needs of the children and the community.
A direct and multi‑dimensional impact
The community poultry farm now plays a key role in village life:
Nutrition
The eggs produced provide a regular and accessible source of protein, helping to improve children’s nutrition.Food self‑reliance
The village is now able to produce part of its own food, reducing its dependence on external assistance.Local income
The sale of a portion of the eggs generates income that can be used to cover other essential needs, such as medical care or school supplies.Education and learning
Children learn the basics of animal farming and the management of a small agricultural project, developing practical skills that will be useful for their future.
